Hayden is the General Manager for Advanced Security Group, and is ultimately responsible for the leadership and management of the group.
Hayden has worked in the industry since 1999. He joined Advanced Security in 2010 through the acquisition of Systems.Com in Wellington, where he took on the lower north regional managers role. In 2017 Hayden took on the GM role for Advanced Security.
Hayden’s background is in sales and management. He has a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration Degree, and during his security career has also become board certified by ASIS International as a Certified Protection Professional and a Physical Security Professional. In 2020 he was the recipient of the NZSA visionary leadership award.
Hayden is comfortable analysing a P&L spreadsheet, reviewing his infamous revenue forecasting tool, chatting with customers, or pitching with the team.
Hayden loves working for a value-first organisation, that has a great vision, ethos and culture. He's immensely proud of his team, and all the support staff behind the scenes.
He says one of the best things about his role is getting to see so many people grow and develop throughout their career with Advanced Security. He always enjoys seeing members of his team take on new opportunities, and flourish in new roles.
National Sales Manager
Shayne holds the key leadership position of National Sales Manager. His responsibilities include supporting the wider sales team and regions to achieve retention and growth outcomes, as well as identifying business constraints and efficiencies and translating them into strategies.
Shayne’s diverse background includes general freight, a diploma in building construction, through to holding various sales, regional, and operational management roles within the energy sector, service delivery industries, and security sector.
Known as a people person, Shayne has a willingness to help others to succeed and grow. His extensive network of contacts sees him known as a go-to person. As a dedicated family man, you’ll generally see him and his wife on the side-line supporting their sons in their sporting activities, if not lending a coaching hand.
Having played softball, rugby, and touch rugby, to senior and representative levels, he was fortunate enough to play rugby in Ireland. He still plays a bit of softball and touch rugby whilst attempting to spend time in the gym too.
Shayne highly values Advanced Security’s positive company culture, leadership, openness, and most importantly support, encouragement, and investment in their people.
He doesn’t really function until he’s had his early morning coffee, then often seen with a second shortly thereafter.
Upper North Island Regional Manager and Auckland Branch Manager
Greg Farr is the Northern Regional Manager for Advanced Security, and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of branches in Whangarei and Auckland - from Pokeno to Cape Reinga.
Greg joined Advanced Security in 2008 as a maintenance technician and worked his way to senior technician and service team leader. From there he was promoted to Service Manager in 2019 and Sales Manager in early 2021, and was further promoted to Regional Manager in November the same year. He has a passion for the industry, engaging with people and working with our clients to help drive the outcomes they need.
Greg has a background in Management prior to joining the Advanced Group and has continued to grow in the area over the course of his career. In 2020, Greg received a Diploma in Business where he had been studying in his own time for the previous 18 months to achieve. He is always looking to learn and enjoys new challenges.
Creating an environment where staff, as well as customers, can lean in for support is important for Greg. He enjoys working with people and organisations to align their security needs with innovative solutions for the future.
Central North Island Regional Manager and Hamilton Branch Manager
Darryl is the Central Regional Manager for Advanced Security in the Waikato, and is responsible for the day to day operations of branches in Hamilton, Rotorua, Tauranga and Taupo.
Darryl has worked in the security industry since 2001 and joined Advanced Security in 2016, where he took the role of the Hamilton Branch Manager. In 2019, he accepted the position of Central Regional Manager.
With a background in the electrical industry, Darryl has his electrical registration and previously worked in the HVAC and Industrial electrical sectors before taking an interest in electronic security. He has gained a great deal of experience working with Government organisations and Healthcare providers, as well as commercial and industrial clients. Darryl is a registered Independent Qualified Person (IQP) for access control systems, and holds certification for major access control and CCTV systems.
Darryl enjoys working with a team of dedicated professionals, and takes pride in the service and solutions Advanced Security provide to clients. He enjoys the opportunities, knowledge and experience he is surrounded by within the Group.
Lower North Island Regional Manager
Daniel is the Lower North Island & South Island Regional Manager for Advanced Security, and is responsible for the day to day operations of branches in New Plymouth, Whanganui, Napier, Palmerston North, Wellington, Blenheim, Nelson, Christchurch and Dunedin.
Daniel has worked in the security industry since 1986, in the early days as a monitoring operator and then running his own security business. He joined a major New Zealand security company in the late 80’s, progressing from the private sector into government security in late 1990, early 2000’s. He has previously worked for the New Zealand Aviation Security Service, Parliamentary Security and Te Papa Tongarewa.
He has held a range of leadership roles, and has an extensive operational manned management background, where the deployment of staff to operational situations, and project management, has meant detailed taskings, and in-depth planning.
Daniel joined Advanced Security in 2018 as Regional Manager for the Lower North Island, and in 2021 expanded his role to oversee the South Island branches as well. He values a great culture, strong leadership, and a vision with goals to get the company going where it needs to be.
